Horse Girl
Horse Girl is a movement piece by Helena Hunter exploring the animal self, humiliation, degradation and the attempt to stand. The work, both cruel and magical, is a plea for metamorphosis where the inner self will transcend the outer form to truly exist in the world. Horse Girl was first commissioned by The Foundation for Women’s Art in London UK, as part of the Uncanny Tales exhibition that featured Paula Rego, Ana Maria Pacheco , Marcelle Hanselaar and Oona Grimes.
