For the eighth consecutive year Gresol presents its International Performance/Live Art Meeting of Women Artists. Once again the main venue for the meeting is the Cultural Centre La Mercè in Girona, Spain.
FEM_11 brings together twelve women artists from around the world to present their works at this year's meeting. Together with well known artists who have many years of experience, we will be showing the work of younger artists who are just beginning their careers.
Alongside the programme of live works, the Chair of Contemporary Art and Culture at the University in Girona will organise a theoretical programme with the participation of well known critics, academics and writers.
For the first time this year, FEM is collaborating with ELAA (European Live Art Archive) and all of the filmed material of the performances and interviews from FEM_11 will be included in the ELAA archive.
FEM_11 also continues with a programme of free workshops at the Cultural Centre, la Mercè, run by the participating artists and open to art students, artists and anyone interested in live art.
