Montse Seró Miró (Terrassa, 1957) is a multidisciplinary artist, who currently works in visual poetry, action art, performance and ceramic research. She studied at the School of Applied Arts in Barcelona specializing in ceramics and continued her studies in Applied Arts in Eivissa. She has done training and courses on Expanding Clays and Raku at the School of Ceramics of La Bisbal d’Empordà (Girona), Applied Engraving on Ceramics, Raku, Experimental Quartz and Crystalizations at the Ramon Fort Ceramic School, Terres Sigillates with the professor Arnau Trullén and Chawan with Encarna Soler Peris at the La Bisbal Ceramic School. She is a member of the Board of Gresol Association and since 2006 she has been working in the production team of FEM as well as collaborating in other Gresol activities. She was one of the committee members of Celrà Caminat: actions, installations and performances (1999 – 2016). In 2013 she founded Artistes a Cel Obert, a non profit organisation promoting collaborations between ceramicists and other artists. As director of Cel Obert, she produces a programme of activities and exhibitions in Rupia, Girona and Quart (Girona).
She has made numerous exhibitions of her work and has presented her performances in galleries and museums such as: Assaig Incerts, (Canet d’Adri, 2020), Acció at the Museu de la Terrissa de Quart (Girona, 2020), Temps at Santa Llúcia, Bòlit Centre d’Art Contemporani, Girona (2018). She has ben selected for public murals: Mural de la Dona in Celrà, Girona (2017) and Fem el Poble in the village of Rupià (Girona, 2014), and has been selected for public sculptures: Nuclèol by the Council of Calonge (Girona, 2003) and Espurnes de Mar i Cel awarded 1st Prize from the Public Sculpture Competition at Oropesa del Mar (Alicante, 2004).
