Fiona Morrison Porta (Andorra, 1970) studied Fine Art at the University of Saint Jordi (Barcelona 1989-1992). She also studied Photography at the Grisart School in Barcelona (1996-1997,2000-2001 and 2002-2003). She has completed courses in using glass fibre and making large scale sculpture at the Ceramic School in la Bisbal d’Empordà, Girona (1997), and also glass sculpture in the same school. She studied with Rénée Rauzy to learn her technique with liquid pigmented perspex (Montpelier, France, 1998). She also studied plaster casting with the artist Pilar Aldana in Barcelona (1998). She has exhibited her work in galleries and museums around Europe since 1989. She currently works with video, installation, sculpture, painting and some performances.
She participated at the Venice Biennale in 2013 in the Arsenale, representing her country with the video Two Walks and has worked with the Joan Prats Art gallery in Barcelona since 2003 with the exhibitions Melancholy, A Special Place and Places. Recently she exhibited at the El Quadern Robat Gallery in Barcelona, Fundació Valvi in Girona, Terracotta Museum in La Bisbal and Empordoneses in Figueres.
